Bernina Gran Turismo - St.Moritz

The Bernina Gran Turismo, launched in 2014, is a professional endeavor to preserve the legacy of the legendary Bernina Race from 1929 and 1930 while infusing it with new vitality for the future.

Originally a highlight of the International St. Moritz Automobile Week, the revived mountain race gained global acclaim within a few years, becoming renowned as the premier historic vehicle mountain race.

This event offers participants a one-of-a-kind experience, blending historic mobility, automobile sport, competition, and modern luxury. The race covers a 5.7 km section of the original route on the Bernina Pass, featuring over 50 thrilling curves, ensuring an adrenaline-pumping journey with an altitude gain of around 450 meters.

Exclusively closed for the mountain race, the pass road offers participants the joy of driving in the high alpine surroundings without interference. The Bernina Gran Turismo caters to classic racing and sports cars from the pre- and post-war eras, up to the 1990 model year, with a preference for more modern and exotic vehicles.

Trust me, the Cars to race up the Berninapass are special, where else do you see a DTM Alfa from the 90s, racing against a Lancia Starts, followed by a early 50s Jaguar.
